Educational Outfitters Makes It Easy for Parents to Order on the Go

(www.EducationalOutfitters.com) As the only national school uniform chain with local owners for each location, Educational Outfitters has always been focused on servicing parents through local stores. Now that local service can be accessed from the palm of your hand.

Brian Elrod, the company’s Co-President states: “It has been very clear that the next step in servicing our customers is making it as convenient for parents to order school uniforms from a mobile phone as it is from a desktop computer. A steadily increasing percentage of our customers are millennials, and we felt we needed to make this change to better meet them where they are.”

A recent study shows that 60% of all online traffic occurs on mobile devices (comScore, 2014). Accordingly, Google updated their search algorithm a few weeks ago to favor mobile-optimized websites. This update has and will continue to have a significant impact on businesses worldwide.

“Making it easier to be found on Google was a clear motivator for our update,” continued Elrod. “In line with steadily improving our customer service, we wanted to separate ourselves from the businesses who aren’t mobile-friendly.”

This gives each franchise location the ability for geo targeting, local maps, adding local content, and local social media options, among various other upgrades.
