Brad and Stephanie Duncan, Knoxville, TN
Brad and Stephanie have owned and operated Educational Outfitters of Knoxville since 2003. In addition to working at the store, Brad and Stephanie enjoy spending time with their family, attending church and many sporting events with their children, spending time at the lake, and working on home improvement projects. Brad is also a full-time electrical engineer with Emerson Process Management. His extended family are long-time Knoxville natives, with his relatives being among the first families to settle in Knoxville. Duncan Boat Dock is owned by Brad’s Great-uncle, Ben Duncan, and is a favorite local spot to fish and swap stories. Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and Brad graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis. Brad and Stephanie have 3 children - Ben, an entering 5th grader, very active athlete, and Boy Scout; Whit, a lively 5 year old; and Samantha, a sweet 2 year old who basically runs the house.
John Clark, Chattanooga, TN, and Huntsville, AL
John is a long-time resident and owner of the Chattanooga franchise, which he acquired in the spring of 2005. His territories include, Chattanooga, the surrounding areas of Cleveland, TN, and North Georgia, and Huntsville, AL, which he opened in 2007. Prior to Educational Outfitters, John’s professional experience included years in the textile and manufacturing industry. John holds a BA from Hampden-Sydney College, and an MBA from Averett College. He has 2 children, Jeremy and Ashley. Ashley is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School and the University of Missouri, and Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Mississippi. Jeremy currently runs embroidery and technology for Educational Outfitters of Chattanooga.
Vickey Wegener, Lansing, MI
Vickey has owned and operated Educational Outfitters of Lansing since its opening in 2006, serving the Central Michigan area. She and her husband, Mike, have 2 children, both in college. Mike also owns and operates a gift and book store in the same building.
Mary and Dan Gordon, Nebraska
Mary and Dan opened Educational Outfitters of Nebraska in the summer of 2009. Dan has spent his professional career working in sales and marketing, both as an individual contributor and as an executive manager. His professional experience includes working in a large advertising agency with some of the nation’s most recognized brands and retailers. He has also spent the last 11 years in the call center and outsourcing industry. Dan’s interests outside of work include volunteering, coaching soccer, and athletics. He's a martial arts black belt, and a finisher of multiple Ironman triathlons. Mary is a licensed speech pathologist, working in both clinical and private care settings. After working at a local hospital helping patients recover their speech, language, and communication abilities, Mary left the corporate world to stay at home with her and Dan’s kids. She spent numerous years leading local charities before deciding to buy the Nebraska franchise. Mary now spends her time building her business and chasing her kids to their activities. With her very little spare time, Mary enjoys outdoor activities including running, biking, and gardening.
